Founders Entertainment is thrilled to announce the addition of Kid Cudi to the 2012 lineup of the Governors Ball Music Festival. Kid Cudi will perform a special late-night closing set on the Saturday date of the festival, immediately following Passion Pit's headline set. This will mark his first gig in NYC since his very sold out show at Williamsburg Waterfront in July 2011. The addition of Kid Cudi to the festival lineup further builds upon an already impressive collection of performers booked for the second annual Governors Ball, and demonstrates Founders Entertainment's commitment to putting on the best show possible for Governors Ball attendees.
Expanding to two days in its second year, the festival will take place on June 23rdand 24th, providing attendees with a full weekend's worth of good times and great music spread across two stages with no overlapping sets. Building upon the inaugural year line-up that focused on Dance, Hip Hop, and Electronica, Governors Ball 2012 will also incorporate Indie Rock, Americana, and Pop acts. There will be a distinct vibe to each day, with Saturday mirroring the lineup featured at Governors Ball 2011, and Sunday's bill focusing primarily on the expanded genres

RICK ROSS LINKS WITH STATE ASSEMBLYMAN.
Team Hope founder and NJ State Assemblyman Benjie Wimberly has joined with Lenny "The Barber" Hansen, Carefree Nation and MMG Boss Rick Ross to produce a concert taking place on May 11, at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. This monumental event will also serve as a campaign rally designed to bring more political and educational awareness into the hip hop community.
With 2012 being an election year and so many crucial issues affecting the hip hop community, Rick Ross and Assemblyman Wimberley are encouraging fans to pursue higher education and become active in the upcoming elections. Campaign communications specialist Mongo Slade of Viral Sparkz Agency says, "Our objective is to inject a sense of HOPE into the hip hop community that will empower young fans with the desire to be more productive."
"It's an honor to give back to the community and motivate our youth. Young people need to know that without hard work there can be no real success. I have worked hard and made certain sacrifices that have allowed me to be successful and scholastic intelligence has played a major part," says Rick Ross.
This groundbreaking event will feature performances by Rick Ross, Meek Mill, French Montana, Travis Porter, Future and Miss "Ghetto Elevator" Rae. In addition to giving away free concert tickets to students and aspiring entrepreneurs that are striving to the do the right thing, a portion of proceeds from the MMG Invasion Tour will be donated to Team Hope. Team Hope has helped hundreds of struggling families in the Paterson, N.J. area alone.
