UK Underground Hip Hop Artist and Rapper Drifter Menace - Celebrate Your Liberty
Birmingham based Hip Hop Artist, Drifter Menace launches second single on the ‘Go Go Get It’ EP.
The track titled ‘Celebrate Your Liberty’ incorporates a killer hook and harmony that even Lupe Fiasco would be proud of.
Released on Indie Label Expat Records, ‘Celebrate Your Liberty’ tells the tale of an individual who on the outside has it all, celebrity, success, cash, but essentially just isn't content with the true person they are. Although the motif could be considered heavy, the song is anything but, consisting of a particularly catchy melody and vocal hook.
The Birmingham Hip Hop artist comments on the track, "Celebrate your liberty was produced in the summer of last year. Once I wrote the vocals my sister had already been humming along the hook for a few weeks so we each knew where we wanted this song to sound in terms of tones and harmonies. This song concerns a person who is obsessed with being popular, being famous, having money and all the material things in everyday life. It’s an account of how insecure we as humans can all get. Its also a wake up call that there is a whole lot more to life then aspiring to be something you’re not, someone your not. Just be happy with your self and your life. I decided to make this an upbeat tune to keep the audience on their heels, and also assure the, that the song is not trying to govern them in any way. That’s the last thing I would do. Its just my way of saying just be satisfied with yourself, and your life".
The song ‘Celebrate Your Liberty’ and the entire ‘Go Go Get It’ EP from UK hip hop artist Drifter Menace is out now by iTunes.
